Knowledge Organisers - Spring

Knowledge organisers are a way of supporting pupils, by presenting them with important information about a specific unit or topic that they are covering in class. Here at Over Hall we have been busily creating our own organisers, which the pupils will have copies of in school.

Below, you will find copies of all the knowledge organisers that we will be sharing this term. They will support you in talking to your child about their learning and will also give you a clear undertanding of how concepts are presented to the children.

Prior Learning:

By visiting Y4's class page, you will find their knowledge organisers. This will give you a clear picture of where learning has developed from and will also support you if you discover that your child needs to complete some revision in a specific area. In fact, every class will have a selection of knowledge organisers, so you can track back to where ever you feel the need to.

Greater Depth:

Greater Depth is a term that describes children who have mastered the skills and knowledge presented to them within a given topic or unit and therefore need to experience expanded activities and investigations within that unit.

It does not mean being given work from the year group above them.

Children who are at a Greater Depth point in their learning will experience objectives/learning activities that stretch their understanding of their current year group expectations.
