3rd January 2024 - 19th January 2024

Find out from your child about our week, here are some great questions to ask...

  • What was your plan today for COOL time?
  • Did you stick to your plan?
  • Who made you laugh today?

Here are the nursery rhymes and songs that we have been learning already this half term:

Follow the hyperlinks above to practice these at home.

We have also been sharing some of our terrific 10 books.

In Maths we have been exploring subitising to 5 and recognising 5 in different ways. We have been using the phrases 'one more' and 'one less'. Follow this link to practice these skills at home.

We have really enjoyed looking out for signs of winter. We have been exploring how the weather changes and what we might see outside. We have thought about what clothes we might wear to keep us warm. The children had lots of fun experimenting with different ways to melt the ice. There were lots of ideas such as putting it in the sun, using hot water and using the heat from our hands. If you spot a sign of Winter at home, share it with us on Tapestry!

We have been looking at different types of land, water and air vehicles.

We have had a some special visitors who spoke about their jobs and how they can help us. We had an assembly all about water safety and how we can keep ourselves and others safe near water.
