10th November 2023

Date: 10th Nov 2023 @ 12:22pm

6th November - 10th November 2023

Find out from your child about our week, here are some great questions to ask...

  • Tell me something that made you laugh today
  • What books did you read today?
  • What made you smile today?

Our nursery rhyme of the week is Incy Wincy Spider. Click here to listen to it at home. Next week is Nursery Rhyme Week where we will be looking at a new nursery rhyme each day!

We have had a great start to our Autumn term, the children have made us proud. We had lots of conversations about Bonfire Night and the fireworks we saw and heard.

We started our week off with Ready, Steady, Ride. This week we focused on balancing. The children had lots of fun trying to keep the items on their trays.

To begin our new English text, Little Red Riding Hood, we had a letter from Little Red herself. She told us the wolf had escaped and she needed our help! We have been busy making wanted posters and made maps of where he has been and where we think he is going to next. We designed traps to catch him and enjoyed building them both inside and outside. We wonder where he will go over the weekend...

We learnt all about Rememberance Day. We looked at Poppies and talked about why we wear Poppies. We also talked about how some people go on a parade on 11th November and may lay a wreath. We made our own poppies out of loose parts and tissue paper.
